Laboratories
The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department have well equipped laboratories as per NBA and AICTE norms with all the facilities needed for cutting edge technology. The laboratories are continuously improved and updated to achieve excellent students’ satisfaction in providing high end skilled training and development on emerging technologies. Individual systems and personalized attention ensure hands on training to our students in their respective subjects.
The major laboratories of the departments are as follows:
1. Electronic Devices Laboratory | |
Electronics Devices Laboratory encompasses the study and
design of the physical systems that allow advancements in the field of
electronic devices. It deals with all aspects of solid state devices, circuits
and technologies. |

2. Digital System Design Laboratory | |
Digital Electronics and Integrated Circuit Laboratory
encompasses the design of various combinational and sequential circuits using
discrete components targeted to facilitate the students to explore the
application of Digital Electronic Circuits. |

3. Analog Communication Laboratory | |
The Analog Communication Laboratory is equipped with comprehensive set of
electronic instruments, trainer kits such as Amplitude Modulation, Frequency
Modulation kit and discrete components targeted to facilitate the students to
understand and explore the application of analog communication systems. |
|
4. Analog Electronics Laboratory | |
Analog Electronic Circuits Laboratory includes multiple analog electronic
components and equipment like CRO, Function Generator etc aimed to train the
students to design and construct various analog electronic circuits and to
explore their practical applications. |
|
5. Microprocessors & Microcontrollers
Laboratory |
|
The Microprocessors & Microcontrollers laboratory provides facilities
for the use of 8 bit microprocessors/microcontrollers such as 8085,8086,8051
and their interfacing for different applications, using hardware and software
concepts to meet industry standards. |
|
6. Electromagnetic Wave Laboratory/RF-Microwave Laboratory | |
The main thrust in this area is the application of electromagnetic waves to
a wide range of engineering system and devices including antenna, circuits and
systems over the RF/microwave frequency band. |

7. Digital Communication Laboratory |
|
Digital Communication Laboratory is equipped with trainer kits like Pulse
Code Modulation, Frequency Shift Keying modulation, Line Coding & Delta and
Adaptive Delta Modulation kits and discrete components targeted to facilitate
the students to explore the application of analog & digital communication. |

8. Digital Signal Processing Laboratory |
|
Digital Signal Processing Laboratory offers a comprehensive understanding
about the discrete signals and various mathematical operations on them, study
of different types of discrete time systems and design of various discrete type
filters on MATLAB as well as TMS320C6713 DSP platform. |

9. Control System & Instrumentation Lab |
|
Basic knowledge about various types of signals, their mathematical modeling
and familiarization with MATLAB modelling make students able to know about the
stability of various systems. |

10. Mini Project/Electronic Design Workshop & Basic Electronics Laboratory | |
The Basic Electronics Engineering laboratory is one of the first
electronics engineering laboratory courses the students will take. In this lab,
students become familiar with making basic electronic circuits and develop
knowledge in relevant field using various electronic components such as
Resistor, Capacitor, Diode and Bread Board along with instruments like CRO,
Function Generator, Multimeter, and Trainer Kits. |

11. Project Laboratory |
|
The
projects are carried out by final year students in this laboratory by applying
the knowledge of all related courses in providing hardware/software solutions
and present demonstrable product. The project laboratory is equipped with
testing and measuring instruments like CRO, Power supply, multimeter, ICs,
sensors, and discrete components, Computers equipped with necessary softwares.
The project work inculcates creative and innovative thinking of the students. |
Laboratory beyond Curriculum
Advance Communication
Laboratory |

AAdvance Communication Laboratory is a beyond curriculum laboratory which has been set to bridge the gap between the syllabus and recent trends in modern communication engineering. This laboratory consists of sophisticated instruments like GPS, Satellite Communication trainer kit, GPRS, WLAN, Bluetooth, and Optical Fiber and LASER trainer kit. |
Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory |

The Measurement and Instrumentation Laboratory is intended to provide the
students some in-depth knowledge about the various measurement techniques and measuring
instruments. This lab is equipped with a set of electronic measuring
instruments, trainer kits, CRO, function generator along with various discrete
components. |

VLSI Design Laboratory | VLSI Laboratory is one of the sophisticated laboratories in the department
which is associated with the design and simulation of semiconductor device,
circuits & system. Tanner SPICE and MODELSIM are the key software work
tools, installed in 30 computer systems and FPGA trainer kits are main hardware
set ups. |
