Admission policy ensures proper admission procedure with respect to each application received for admission. It is a statement of its purpose, eligibility, requirements for admission & application procedures required for admission. We process all the applications in accordance with the students as per the guidelines lead by AICTE as well as MAKAUT and WBSCTE to set the respective admission criteria's which is explicit, fair and consistent.

The institute strictly abides to the admission procedures, allotment of seats & fees structure as amended from time to time and prevalent at the date of admission as per the Order of the Competent Authority.

Eligibility Criteria 

1. Polytechnic Programme : Approved by AICTE and affiliate to WBSCTVESD 

    JEXPO 

   Passed / Appeared* 10th standard from any recognized Board / Council / Institute with at least 35 % marks in AGGREGATE (without additional / optional subject) at the qualifying examination         (without rounding-up)

   VOCLET

   Passed / Approved* (10+2) examination from the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development (Vocational Education Division) 

   OR

   Passed 2 years' ITI at a stretch after Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed (single certificate should mention the duration of the ITI course)

   Passed / Approved* (10+2) examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biology subject from any recognized Board / Council / Institute.

                                                                                                                                                           OR

   Passed / Approved* (10+2) examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects from any recognized Board / Council / Institute.

                                                                                                                                                           OR

   Passed / Approved* 10+2 (Science) with Technical Vocational Subjects from any recognized Board / Council / Institute.

2. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) : Approved by AICTE & affiliated to MAKAUT minimum aggregate of 45 % marks and 45 % marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.   

    Those who passed out 10+2 and qualified in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or JEE(MAIN) Examination in the current year & recommended by Central Selection Committee are eligible for admission.

    Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 45 % marks (40 % in case of reserved category students) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology or passed B.Sc degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45 % marks (40 % in case of reserved category students) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject. 

    Admission through Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made strictly on basis of current year merit & the performance of candidates in the common Entrance Examination for admission through Lateral Entry Scheme (i.e JELET) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

3. Masters of Technology (M.Tech.) : Approved by AICTE & affiliated to MAKAUT

    Admissions into the M.Tech. program is on basis of GATE of examination or state level entrance examination, i.e. P-GATE.

   To apply for the Admission in M.Tech. program but they need to secure a rank in P-GATE examination which is conducted by MAKAUT.

4. Management (MBA) : Approved by AICTE & affiliated to MAKAUT

   Exam Required : MAT | CMAT | JEMAT 

   Must pass graduation in any discipline.

   Valid entrance test score card candidates in final year of graduation may also apply candidates with work experience will get preference Candidates will be selected through GD & PI
